Dear RPA Members,
It is with great sadness that the Retail Packaging Association acknowledges the passing of Eric Olson, a respected figure and longtime member of our community. As a Retail Packaging Manuf Rep, Eric was widely known for his kind demeanor and his significant contributions to our industry over many years.
Eric's passion for packaging was a hallmark of his career. Many of you will recall his memorable phrase that "packaging was fun," a sentiment that was evident in his impressive portfolio of colorful and intricate designs from the 1970s. His professional journey, which included a long tenure with the Gage & Gage team before he established his own successful company, serves as an example of his integrity and commitment.
For those who wish to learn more about Eric's remarkable life, his family has shared his obituary, which you can read here: https://obituaries.nationalcremation.com/obituaries/richfield-mn/r-olson-12483722
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Eric’s family and friends during this difficult time. His daughter-in-law, Karen Bjorlin, can be reached at kbjorlin@yahoo.com. At this time, the family has not designated a charity for donations.
On behalf of the entire Retail Packaging Association, we mourn the loss of a truly special individual who will be deeply missed.
